Organizers of the National Academy of Students’ Achievement Awards Ghana (NASAAG) have out doored a line-up of young achievers at its third edition which took place at the GNAT Heights Adabraka, on October 14th, 2022.
Special guests who attended the event included sponsors, partners, and members of the board of trustees namely, Franklin Adjetey (Board Chairman NASAAG and Founder, Project Know Thyself), Mac-Issaka Billa (Executive, Ghana India Trade Advisory Chamber, GITAC), Dr. Dominic Oduro Antwi, Board Member of NASAAG and President of the Global Africa Trade Advisory Chamber (GATAC), Mr. Ashish Gokaldas (Chief Executive Officer, GOKALS Limited), Ms. Sarah Danso (General Manager, Obuobi Mpabo Co. Ltd.) Dr. Nusrat-Jahan Abubakar (Ag. Director for University Relations Directorate, GCTU), Prof. Edward Appiah (Director General of National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), & Snr lecturer, KNUST), Judith Aikins (Manager, Export Trade, Ghana EXIM Bank), Emmaline Datey (Board member NASAAG and Founder, Level Up Africa), Enyonam Manye (Board Member NASAAG and Founder, Count on Crops Hub and the Ghanaian Farmer), Amin Muhammed (Secretary for Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Skills Development, NUGS), John Ofori (CEO, Re-Think Investment), Williams Lamptey (Founder, United Ghanaian Alliance), Princess Diana Wedaga Ayongo (Ghana’s Most Beautiful 3rd Runner Up 2021), Mr. Abeiku Greene (Executive Director, Junior Achievers Ghana), and other notable and distinguished individuals.

In his opening address at the event, the President of the National Academy of Students’ Achievement Awards Ghana (NASAAG), Riffath Yakub Abubakar, mentioned that the goal of NASAAG is to prepare the students for the job market and job creation and for that purpose to be achieved, NASAAG has rolled out training programmes including:
- Career guidance and Capacity building under employability skills and personal growth development
- Business and Entrepreneurship
- Leadership and Governance
- Mentorship, Internship Investment Opportunities
He further stated that NASAAG runs these programmes through a “Campus Summit Tour”. The ‘Campus Summit Tour’ is an annual regional Universities, Colleges, and High Schools tour designed and aimed at providing career guidance and capacity building to develop and empower students to fit for employments (Employability Skills) in the job market, in line with grooming them to cultivate the culture of business, entrepreneurship and other economic ventures or enterprises. The objective of the ‘Campus Tour’ is to prepare the students to develop skills beyond academic qualifications for the contemporary job market and job creation.
This year, NASAAG has toured three universities in three regions including the University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) in the Ashanti Region, University of Education, Winneba (UEW) in the Central Region and the African University College of Communications (AUCC) in the Greater Accra Region and ended at the Asamankese Senior High School in the Eastern Region, NASAAG also partnered Project Brave Foundation to facilitate a Masterclass in entrepreneurship and leadership at the University for Development Studies (UDS) Tamale.

The ultimate prizes for the 2022 edition was a “One year academic scholarship for the winner of the National Student Personality of the year” and a “One hundred thousand Ghana cedis for the National Best Student Entrepreneurs of the year” respectively.
Special performances by some young spoken word artists and cultural troop lightened up the event with Mimi Kay and MC Philemon as MCs who made sure the whole event was truly an experience worth attending.
NASAAG at the end of every year, awards, and honors students nationwide for their excellent contributions to their immediate communities.
